[An-ma-glâhk] Old Elvish meaning "stealer of life," though often mistranslated as "thief of lives." A caste (not clan) of protectors among the an’Cróan, and commonly thought of as spies and assassins by the few outsiders who know of them (which is partly true). When the term is capitalized, it refers to the caste as a whole or members in general; when lower case, it refers to an individual (or individuals) identified as belonging to this caste.
